The Ben Censoni Award for Excellence in Public Service

The Ben Censoni Award for Excellence in Public Service is the only award that recognizes public officials who strive to improve the lives of people with intellectual/developmental disabilities. It is named after the late Ben Censoni, former developmental disabilities director for Michigan and Chair of the association’s Governmental Affairs Committee.

The Robert M. Gettings Compass Award

The Robert M. Gettings (RMG) Compass Award recognizes the achievements of individuals who, while working in the private sector, have made significant contributions to the development of publicly funded state service systems for people with intellectual/developmental disabilities.

The Cathy Anderson Award for Public-Private Partnership

The Cathy Anderson Award for Public-Private Partnership honors Cathy Anderson’s legacy and lifetime achievements of improving the lives of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) across our nation and is offered as a partnership between the National Association of State Directors of Developmental Disabilities Services (NASDDDS) and Public Consulting Group (PCG).The Award is intended to spotlight strong public-private partnerships that improve the lives of people with disabilities, for example, through increased community integration and improved employment opportunities.

The Gary Smith Scholarship for Public Managers

The Gary Smith scholarship supports the participation of professionals working in state government I/DD agencies in the University of Delaware Leadership Institute.
