DD Network Associations Launch HCBS Rule Web Site
The National DD Network Partners – the Association of University Centers on Disability (AUCD), the National Association of Councils on Developmental Disabilities (NACDD), and the National Disability Rights Network (NDRN) – have launched a new website meant to inform advocates about the implementation of the new Medicaid rule regarding the settings of home and community-based services (HCBS) and help them get involved through the public comment process. The site, HCBSadvocacy.org, provides links to official CMS resources, national advocacy resources, and information for each state on their HCBS transition/compliance process.
HCBSadvocacy.org is “a platform for the aging and disability communities to post information and resources regarding the new HCBS settings rule and steps each state is making to comply with the new rule.” Site visitors can click on a state to see resources, dates and deadlines, state documents, news, and other information from that state. The website “relies on national and local organizations working to help inform each other.”
