SUMMARY:Cross-System Strategies to Support Children with Complex Behavioral Health Conditions
DESCRIPTION:Children with complex behavioral health conditions often rely on multiple state systems including developmental disabilities\, Medicaid\, behavioral health\, child welfare\, education\, juvenile justice. This webinar will examine practical\, cross-system strategies that states can use to strengthen coordination\, reduce fragmentation\, and improve outcomes for children with complex behavioral health conditions and their families. \nThe session includes substantial clinical context to provide a strong foundation for understanding children with complex behavioral support needs and for designing effective\, responsive treatment and programs. The policies\, program models\, and treatment approaches to be discussed have demonstrated effectiveness in practice. The recommendations shared are both achievable and scalable—grounded in real-world implementation already underway in state systems across the country.

SUMMARY:2023 RISP Webinar
DESCRIPTION:RISP project collects important information on the delivery of services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) nationally. This data\, provided by states\, is used nationally to tell the story of I/DD systems and supports. This data provides a longitudinal look at state I/DD systems\, enabling tracking of progress over time\, and comparisons across states. RISP can be an important tool for states in the movement of systems toward community-based services and can serve to educate stakeholders about system attributes. The University of Minnesota collects data from all states in order to compile the annual reports.

SUMMARY:NASDDDS Panel Discussion: Using NCI in Quality Improvement
DESCRIPTION:Members Only- \nStates have long relied on data available from participation in National Core Indicators© (NCI©)\, to measure quality in their DD service delivery system. As the use of NCI across the service delivery system has grown\, DD quality systems have broadened and matured in their approach to quality improvement. Quality systems can vary across states and the states have different and effective approaches to incorporating NCI data into their overall quality improvement system. On this webinar\, a panel of state quality staff from several DD systems will share their perspectives and experiences regarding the use of NCI data as an integral piece of their quality improvement systems. \nObjectives:\n1. Recognize the importance of incorporating NCI measures into quality systems\n2. Hear different approaches for the use of NCI measures to ensure quality in DD service delivery systems.\n3. Gain insight from state quality staff to ensure maximum benefit of NCI Data in your own quality systems.
