• Range 78 ($53,224.80 – $89,479.20 Annually).
• Salary will be commensurate with experience. Limitations apply to current State employees.

• Master’s degree in Social Work from a program approved by the Council on Social Work Education.
• 48 months or more experience as a Social Worker in the mental health field, including…
• 12 months or more supervisory experience.
• Must have or be eligible for licensure as graduate social worker as issued by the Alabama Board of Social Work.
• Eligible employees must obtain licensure within one year of appointment date in order to maintain employment
• Provides leadership and supervision to the program social work staff.
• Provides direct treatment and services to patients.
• Assists in the development, revision, monitoring, and implementation of individualized treatment plans.
• Holds and documents supervisory conferences with students.
• Assists Social Work Director with orientation and training of new staff and students as assigned.
• Attends monthly meetings.
• Gives oral presentation at Treatment Planning Conferences.
• Gathers social data, writes/dictates social histories and updates, including psychosocial assessments.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
• Knowledge of community and agency resources.
• Knowledge of JCAHO and CMS standards.
• Knowledge of good social work principles.
• Good administrative and supervisory skills and abilities.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Applicants will be rated based on an evaluation of their job-related training, abilities, experience, and education, and should provide adequate work history identifying experiences related to the duties and minimum qualifications as mentioned above.
