Strategic Planning

Strategic planning can be a single task involving one aspect of a state's program and requiring a single expert to provide information and guide the process. Or it may be an activity intended to redesign an entire service system requiring a team of people with a range of knowledge and skills.

NASDDDS staff and consultants work collaboratively with state staff and their stakeholders, building on local knowledge and insights, determining the vision and defining the desired outcomes as the foundation for design efforts.

Strategic Planning Services Can Include

  • Engaging, developing, and maintaining stakeholder involvement
  • Facilitating collaborative efforts within and among organizations
  • Feasibility analyses
  • Comprehensive strategic plans
  • Implementation plans
  • Assisting with the preparation or drafting of Medicaid waivers or state plan amendments

NASDDDS staff are available as conference presenters and subject matter experts for state webinars or training events.
