National Core Indicators (NCI)™ Partners Recognized With Policy Award

The American Association on Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (AAIDD) announced on Tuesday honorees who have been selected to receive awards from the Association in 2020. Each year, AAIDD honors selected individuals, groups, or organizations who have made outstanding contributions to the field. A call for award nominations is issued in the fall of each year and awards are presented at the annual meeting of the Association. NASDDDS is pleased and humbled to learn the National Core Indicators (NCI) initiative will be recognized.  NASDDDS shares the award with our partners at Human Services Research Institute (HSRI). National Core Indicators is a voluntary effort by public developmental disabilities agencies to measure and track their own performance. The NCI program will receive the Policy Award for contributions to disability policy and impact to systems of support.  NASDDDS congratulates our fellow honorees and humbly thanks our partners at HSRI. We would like to extend our gratitude to all who have contributed to the project and the growing number who continue to utilize NCI to promote positive systems change.
