What is the Enabling Technology Engagement Network (ETEN)?
NASDDDS and ADvancing States launched the Enabling Technology Engagement Network, a collaborative initiative designed to transform Long-Term Services and Supports (LTSS) through cutting-edge technology and strategic partnerships. This network addresses the challenges of implementing impactful technological solutions across fragmented Medicaid and LTSS systems.
The Enabling Technology Engagement Network brings together state policymakers, health plan partners, and technology vendors to address challenges and accelerate innovation– all to ensure access to technology for all.
How does the ETEN work?
The ETEN utilizes a three prong approach to connecting and collaborating with partners in this work.
The Advisory Group, consists of seven states who are leaders in the technology space: DC, Maryland, Massachusetts, Missouri, Ohio, Oklahoma, and Tennessee. These states will chart a pathway forward to expand availability of and access to innovative enabling technology to improve outcomes for individuals supported in those states.
The second group, or prong, of the ETEN structure is the Affinity Group, which includes Advisory Group states, and all other interested state members. This group tests policy ideas and recommendations from the Advisory Group; shares information about their issues and initiatives; and, develops policy strategies and recommendations to expand availability and access.
The third prong is the Collaborative Group which includes the Advisory Group, select enabling technology vendors, and select health plans. This group meets periodically to discuss challenges in enabling technology, policy solutions, and other considerations.
