Communications Affinity Group

Government communication focuses on how state agencies convey information to the public, community members, and employees about their policies, programs, and services. The goal is to build trust, transparency, and accountability. This involves crafting effective communication strategies and using various channels to reach diverse audiences. States encounter various barriers when attempting to reach these goals including bureaucratic barriers, lack of dedicated staff, and limited funding.  Join us for NASDDDS’ newest affinity group which will explore optimizing communication within these constraints as we attempt to engage our communities in our work.
