Pennsylvania Hires Parent Leader to focus on Supporting Families

Pennsylvania conducted a series of seminars across the state that focused on the successes of the six states involved in the NASDDDS Community of Practice: Supporting Families throughout the Lifespan. Nancy Richey has extensive work experience in health promotion and professional recruitment and is the parent of a son with disabilities transitioning into adult life. She has been part of the DD Council in PA for many years and currently serves as chair.   As a member of ODP policy team, she will assist in the renewal of the office’s waivers, the development agency policy and will be responsible for developing a family peer training network across the state.
