Team Spotlight: Nathalie Agnant, M.Ed.
1. In what ways does your role help support the work of NASDDDS members?
My role is primarily behind the scenes, supporting both our members and the organization in various ways. I assist with travel coordination for our members, provide on-site support for meetings and events, and help manage the financial and administrative processes that keep our internal operations running smoothly.
2. What does a typical day look like for you as a member of the NASDDDS team?
My day always starts with gratitude, followed by a review of my priorities and tasks for the day. Depending on what’s needed, I may attend meetings, assist with invoicing, support teammates on various projects, update our ListServ and website job postings, or help coordinate other operational needs. No two days are exactly alike, which is something I enjoy. I appreciate the opportunity to wear many hats and continue growing both personally and professionally while supporting our mission.
3. What aspects of your work bring you the most joy, and what do you enjoy most outside your professional life?
One of the most rewarding aspects of my work is being part of such an incredible team. My colleagues are knowledgeable, supportive, and inspiring, and it’s fulfilling to know that, even in a behind-the-scenes role, I contribute to work that positively impacts our communities. Outside of work, I enjoy reading, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. I also have a deep love for the arts and music. I sang Soprano II with The Washington Chorus for about five years and look forward to returning to the chorus this fall.
